CAPABILITIES & COLLABORATION

Fluoromet has built one of Australia’s most specialised privately funded R&D platforms for critical minerals processing, supported by the Federal R&D Tax Incentive.

This investment has created an integrated NSW-based technical capability that spans the laboratory development pathway — from feedstock characterisation and bench-scale testing through to product recovery, analytical validation and pilot plant design support.

Core capabilities include:

  • testing of ores, concentrates and tailings;

  • advanced wet chemistry development;

  • dissolution, separation and recovery testwork;

  • reagent recovery and process optimisation;

  • in-house analytical validation;

  • feedstock variability assessment;

  • reactor development and process equipment configuration; and

  • pilot plant design support.

Current development areas include lithium, high-purity silica, rubidium, tantalum, niobium, caesium, graphite and selected critical minerals, subject to feedstock composition and ongoing technical validation.

A NSW-Based Platform for Clean Technology and Sovereign Minerals Capability

Fluoromet’s work aligns with state and national priorities in critical minerals, clean technology, advanced manufacturing and sovereign industrial capability. Its Berkeley Vale facility provides a NSW-based platform for skilled technical employment, pilot plant development, industry collaboration and future commercialisation pathways.

Fluoromet is also in early-stage engagement with external design and engineering partners to support pilot plant planning, process integration and scale-up readiness.

Fluoromet is the NSW-based R&D facility and technical expertise behind the Resource Maximisation Process. Liberate Minerals, based in Perth, will commercialise the technology through partnerships, project opportunities and joint ventures, including early-stage partnerships with Australian and Canadian mineral projects.
